Clean Politics, Good Government
The City Council has worked diligently to improve the conduct, effectiveness, and cohesion of the city council, commissioners, and staff. As a person trained to enable healthy and functional relationships, I would like to continue the restoration of good working relationships at all levels of local government.
Especially within this difficult political climate, it's vitally important that the left, right, and center should not disregard the other as extremist or irrelevant. We need to listen and collaborate to find solutions together.
I will always be transparent about my positions when asked. If you do not share those positions, please talk to me about what is important to you. I will not dismiss you. I will try to understand your point of view and see where we find common ground.
As I modeled throughout my city council campaigns, I will not attack any candidate for any office. I may critique ideas, and I will certainly share my own. I hope every candidate for this office will make the same commitment.
PLATFORM
It is my goal to look at every issue facing state government through a lens of equity, inclusion, and social progress. Every action of the state government should center the full participation of every Minnesotan in our society. Special attention should be given to those whom are traditionally marginalized; women, people of color, immigrants, LGBTQIA Minnesotans, those who are disabled, and those living in poverty.
